I'm tired of getting denied lease applications to no-pet housing bc?
The other answer-writers that I have seen are missing the point. Of course it is illegal to deny housing because of a service dog. It would also be very difficult to prove that that was the reason. In Ontario (Canada) you are not permitted to have a no-pets clause in a lease. Thus it would be possible to simply not declare the existence of the dog until after you have moved in. On the other hand, you have to realize that you are looking at difficulties further down the road when you start out by lying to your landlord.
